United Nations

Live! From…the UN with Nikolaj Coster-Waldau! Innovation and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)

The UN General Assembly was in full swing here in New York City last week, and we met with some truly brilliant people working on everything from achieving gender equality worldwide, to ending hunger, to realizing carbon neutrality. Special thanks to our friends and hosts at the SAP Leonardo Center who built a full-on soccer field inside the same space where we will be performing our run of shows this Fall/Winter.

Here (above) is one of the referees from that awesome indoor soccer match, which was hosted in collaboration with our new friends at EIR Soccer and SAP NextGen. You might recognize this referee from his role as Jamie Lannister on Game of Thrones but I know him better as an advocate and a knowledgeable friend of the climate! More to come here but, as a preview, when Nicolaj Coster-Waldau tells you he recently visited Greenland and "watched a sheet of ice melt," you too will find yourself listening... intently.

You will unquestionably recognize another one of our amazing guests from the SAP NextGen event series.
He just happens to be a multi-platinum recording artist, producer and technologist-turned-cryptocurrency philanthropist. Akon asked his friend the Reverend Jesse Jackson to join us in a discussion about what it means to foster entrepreneurship in places that are not typically top of mind at tech conferences and blockchain events. It is important and righteous work from a very dedicated team who you will be hearing more from soon on our forthcoming podcast series, so stay tuned!
